Italy's Di Maio: Not worried about possible EU proceedings on budget

Italy's deputy prime minister Luigi Di Maio, as cited by Ansa news agency, said that he is not concerned about possible EU proceedings over the government's budget.

He further added that proceedings could come about if the Commission finds that Italy is infringing EU rules on the budget submission.

It is worth reporting that the European Commission will publish its report on Italy’s finances on Wednesday and is also expected to take the first step to discipline the troubled country over its 2019 budget deficit target.
