Trumps taps Brett Kavanaugh for US Supreme Court

Headlines are hitting the wires that US President Donald Trump has chosen Brett Kavanaugh for his US Supreme Court nomination.

Kavanaugh, a Yale graduate and DC Circuit Court judge, is a right-leaning Republican supporter, though his long track record has drawn some concern from Republican leader Mitch McConnell, who stated that such a long track record would result in an extended confirmation process within the US Senate, delaying the speed with which the Republican party can place a new Supreme Court judge on the panel.
