Analysts at TDS point out that we have a slew of Eurozone data today, with the highlight likely to be the first print of German Q3 GDP.
Key Quotes
“Here we look for a 0.7% q/q gain, a bit stronger than consensus of 0.6%. We also have Germany’s ZEW index for November, where we look for the current assessment to rise to 90.0 (mkt 88.0) and expectations to 22.0 (mkt 19.5). There are also second readings of German, Spanish, and Italian HICP, and Eurozone Q3 GDP. On top of all that, we have several central bank speakers to keep an eye on today through the first day of the ECB’s Central Bank Communications Conference, kicking off at 8am GMT.”
“The key event today will likely be the policy panel at 10am featuring BoE Governor Carney, ECB President Draghi, BoJ Governor Kuroda, and Fed Chair Yellen, but there could be interesting headlines through much of the rest of the day (and through tomorrow) as well. There are also speaking appearances today from Lautenschlaeger (9am) and Nouy (also 9am) as part of Euro Finance Week in Frankfurt, plus Villeroy in Paris at 12:45pm and Coeuré at 1:30pm in Brussels.”
