AUD/USD climbs to fresh 2-week highs
AUD/USD extended gains over the last hours and reached fresh 2-week highs as the dollar continues to suffer following Fed’s meeting yesterday.
AUD/USD climbed to a peak of 0.7674 but lost momentum ahead of the 0.77 mark and pulled back slightly. The pair was last trading around 0.7660, still up 0.52% on the day.
AUD/USD is on track to post its fourth daily gain in a row and its sixth gain out of the last seven trading days, extending a bounce from the 0.7440 area where it set a monthly low.
AUD/USD levels to watch
As for technical levels, immediate resistances are seen at 0.7697/0.7700 (Sep 7 high/psychological level), 0.7731 (Sep 8 high) and 0.7759 (Aug 11 high). On the other hand, supports are seen at 0.7604/00 (Sep 22 low/psychological level), 0.7580 (50-day SMA) and 0.7534 (10-day SMA).
