US: Personal Income grows 0.3% in June
FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - US Personal Income grew 0.3% in June, slightly down from the 0.4% rise in May, the US Bureau of Economic Analysis revealed on Friday. Market consensus pointed to a 0.5% increase. Personal Spending grew 0.5%, following a 0.2% rise, as expected.
Month-over-month the US Core Personal Consumption Expenditure - Price Index increased 0.2%, up from +0.1% the previous month, according to forecasts. On an annual basis US Core Personal Consumption Expenditure - Price Index climbed 1.2% in June, following 1.2% also in May, slightly above expectations of a 1.1% rise.
Monthly Personal Consumption Expenditures - Price Index increased 0.4%, up from +0.1%. Annual Personal Consumption Expenditures - Price Index grew 1.3%, following +1.1%. Both results are in line with forecasts.
