EUR/CHF drops below 1.0250

FXStreet (Edinburgh) - The Swiss franc is now gathering pace vs. its European peer on Monday, dragging EUR/CHF to the mid-1.0200s.

EUR/CHF in 3-month lows

The cross is trading in levels last seen in late January after the SNB removed the CHF 1.20 floor vs. the euro. Greek jitters and the softer tone around the single currency keep weighing on the cross, which continues to correct lower from February-March peaks in the 1.0800 neighbourhood.

Next on tap for the cross will be the ZEW Survey in Germany, EMU and Switzerland, along with the flash prints of manufacturing and services PMIs in the euro region.

EUR/CHF key levels

As of writing the cross is retreating 0.47% at 1.0241 with the next support at 1.0213 (low Jan.29) ahead of 1.0186 (low Jan.28) and finally 1.0172 (61.8% of 0.9776-1.0811). On the flip side, a breakout of 1.0327 (high Apr.17) would aim for 1.0345 (high Apr.16) and then 1.0374 (10-d MA).
